The desserts are just crumbs, the turkey’s been eaten. Now you’re eyeing the kitchen, feeling tired and beaten. Don’t look at the mess, sit down in your chair! Put up your feet, dream of countertops bare. Imagine dishwasher empty, pans sparkling clean. The oven and stove top have a brilliant sheen. Scroll through these kitchens, think of only good things. Then hire a housekeeper and book a flight to Palm Springs.
The thing that caught my eye in this kitchen is the arch through which the photo is taken. I love that the island is a different finish than the main cabinetry, and pulls the color from the window frame. The detail on the glass lighting adds a nice cottage touch, along with the creative open shelving to cap off the island.
Two-toned cabinetry is my JAM right now. But not real jam. Because that would get these pretty white countertops and apron front sink all sticky and messy. The bar pulls in brass make such a statement against the dark lower cabinets. Open shelving, sconces above the sink…the whole thing is lovely.
I’ve seen this kitchen on IG and pinned (tried multiple times and got that message: “Psst…looks like you already pinned this” YEAH. Cause’ it’s amazing), but it’s just so good it was worth sharing again. I’m really liking the floor pattern and the light fixtures.
Clean, clean, clean! Light wood flooring, beigey-white cabinets, beveled white subway tile…this is a kitchen I probably wouldn’t let my kids in. Or myself with a cup of coffee because…well, that’s just a coffee stain waiting to happen.
Can we just talk about that surprising pop of green on the peninsula for a sec? It’s so unique and funky, but the rest of the kitchen design is monochromatic so it works. I would need more shelving for endless sippy cups, however.
