Entrepreneur Spotlight: Robin Faber

Robin Faber treats floral arrangement as an artform. “I’ve always been a people pleaser,” Robin said. “I like making people happy. I wanted to do something that was creative, fun, and makes people smile.”  Her creations bring people joy everyday through her business, Anderson Florists, in downtown Tillamook. 

Robin was born and raised in Tillamook and grew up in the area as a dairy farmers’ daughter. She attended the Floral Design Institute in Portland and, as she got certified, found out that Anderson was hiring. “I thought, ‘This is all going to fall into place,” Robin said. “I fell in love with Anderson. Anderson was where I always shopped as a young kid. I loved their quality. They had the friendliest customer service.”

After working for the previous owner for a decade, Robin decided to purchase the business nine years ago. She is the fourth owner of Anderson Florists since its inception in 1927. Anderson Florists is a full service florist and giftshop providing arrangements and delivery for weddings, sympathy, anniversary, birthday, get well or just because.

“We have something for everyone and everyone’s budget,” Robin said. To get an idea of her offerings, Robin often works with local photographers for stylized photoshoots. 

“It's a great resource because we can all collaborate with what we each have and it showcases our work,” Robin said. And what’s Robin’s favorite arrangements to put together? “Anything for weddings,” she said. “I love weddings mainly because they’re going to be photographed and that’s the only way my art will last forever. I do a happy dance when I get a really pretty photo of a piece back.”

Anderson Florists is located at 202 Main Ave in Tillamook. Business hours are Monday - Friday 9 am – 5 pm; Saturday 10 am – 2 pm; closed Sundays.
